AI for Kids
Understand AI, use it wisely, check it, create with it… and dream of building it one day.

Across three levels (Novice, Advanced, Expert), your child discovers how an artificial intelligence learns, what it is used for in Congo, in Africa and around the world, how to give it good instructions, how to check it, how to use it to understand lessons better without cheating, and how to stay safe. Short lessons, screen-free games, an adult always by their side: for each level completed, your child receives the MOKILIX Academy “Young AI Pioneer” diploma.
The first three modules of the Novice level (1 to 3: how AI learns, AI around me, safety and privacy) are free, at home and in the classroom, as are the parents’ guide and the safety charter. A child’s safety is not for sale. The rest of the Novice level, the Big Challenge, the diploma and the Advanced and Expert levels are paid, and can only be purchased by an adult.

- 3levels: Novice, Advanced, Expert
- 20short modules, with animated tutorials and screen-free games
- 9-14years old, with a parent or teacher alongside
- 3“Young AI Pioneer” diplomas
AgeAges 9 to 14 (from age 9 with an adult who reads; Expert level recommended from age 11)
Demonstration: payments, the Big Challenge and diplomas are simulated in this prototype; in production, they are controlled by the server. No account is created for the child.

Understanding rather than just putting up with it
AI is already part of your children’s daily lives. The path explains simply how it learns, what it can do and what it cannot do: it guesses, it does not think and it feels nothing.
Learning through play, above all without screens
Each lesson lasts 8 to 12 minutes and continues with an unplugged game, using simple materials: drawn fruit, beans, cards. The heart of it happens around the table, as a family or in class.
Good habits, without frightening
Protecting their information, checking an answer, spotting a fake image, stopping and telling an adult: children learn habits, never through fear. One message comes back often: it is never their fault.
Support for schoolwork, without cheating
The path’s golden rule: AI explains, the child does the work. They learn to ask for another explanation, an example or practice questions, and to respect what their teacher allows. We promise no grades.
Rooted in Congo, open to the world
Merveille in Brazzaville, Nathan in Pointe-Noire, Josué in Kinshasa, Inès in Paris: the examples talk about the market, the field, school and our national languages, with as many girls as boys in the roles and professions.
A progression all the way to building
From the Novice level to the Expert level, the child moves from “I discover” to “I build”: at the last level, they make a card classifier and design on paper an AI that is useful for their school or neighbourhood.

Child protection
Our safety charter
The path follows a written child safety charter, reviewed lesson by lesson. These rules apply to all three levels, without exception.
View details : Our safety charter
No child account: the account belongs to the parent or teacher, who pays, supports and validates.
No child account. No personal information is requested: no photo, no voice, no video, no full name, no address, no school, no date of birth. The first name and the initial of the surname are used only to print the diploma: they are not stored. The parent's browser keeps the progress (quizzes done, Big Challenge score, date and identifier of the diplomas).
No open-access AI on the site: the child answers with buttons and cards, and no free text is ever sent to an AI.
Many AI tools set a minimum age: any practice on a real tool is done with an adult, on the adult’s account, or with our printed sheets.
No links to other services, no advertising, no recommended tool brand.
Kili, the mascot, is a pre-written programme: it never calls itself the child’s friend, never asks personal questions and always directs the child to a trusted adult.
No daily streaks, no notifications, no countdowns, no rankings between children; a break is suggested at the end of each lesson.
A rule repeated in every module: “Stop, I leave, I tell a trusted adult.” And no purchase is ever offered to the child.
Parents
For parents
You do not need to know about AI to support your child: you learn together. Your role is that of a co-pilot, not a supervisor.
View details : For parents
- Read the first lesson with your child and play the unplugged games together: that is where it all happens.
- Stay by their side for any practice on a real AI tool, on your own account.
- Ask questions rather than giving the answers: “How did the AI learn that?”, “How can we check it?”
- Praise effort and curiosity, never speed or comparison with another child.
- The parents’ guide, free and printable, gives you useful pointers: screen time, warning signs, links with school.
- You stay in control: you open the levels, you validate the projects and you issue the diploma.

Your role: co-pilot, not supervisor
Read the first lesson with your child and play the unplugged games together. You do not need to be a specialist: learning together already sends a wonderful message. Praise effort and curiosity, not speed.
Screen time
Screen time
A session is an 8 to 12-minute lesson, possibly the tutorial, then an unplugged game or a break. Two to three sessions a week are enough. Avoid screens just before bedtime and during meals. The path contains no notifications and no streaks to keep up.
How to support your child
How to support your child
Ask questions rather than giving the answers: “How did the AI learn that?”, “How can we check it?”. Remind them of the golden rule for schoolwork: AI explains, the child does the work. Do any practice on a real AI tool by their side, on your own account.
Warning signs
Warning signs
Is your child isolating themselves, preferring to talk to an app rather than to family or friends, getting very upset when the screen goes off, sleeping less, hiding what they do or seeming troubled after shocking content? Talk to them calmly, without punishing them for confiding in you, and thank them for telling you: it is not their fault. Reduce screen time, do not share the content, report it on the platform concerned, and talk to the teacher or a health professional if it persists.
The link with school
The link with school
Encourage your child to ask their teacher what is allowed for homework. The path promises no improvement in grades: it gives methods to understand, revise and get organised. The diploma is a diploma of participation, with no official academic value.
Accounts, data and minimum age for tools
Accounts, data and minimum age for tools
The account is in your name, never in the child’s. No personal information about your child is requested: their first name, with the initial of their surname, is used only to print the diploma and is not stored. Many AI tools set a minimum age (often 13, sometimes 18 or with parental consent): read the terms of each tool before using it with your child, and do not create an account for them.
Schools
For schools
MOKILIX Academy in the classroom is designed for primary schools (CM1-CM2) and lower secondary schools (6e to 4e), public and private, in Congo, in the DRC and in the diaspora, as well as for clubs and associations. The teacher projects the tutorials and reads the lessons; pupils play in groups, with no account and no individual screen.

View details : For schools

Parents’ questions
From what age?
From what age?
The path is designed for 9 to 14-year-olds. Before age 11, we recommend that an adult or an older brother or sister reads with the child. The Advanced level is aimed at 10 to 14-year-olds and the Expert level at 11 to 14-year-olds (from age 10 with an adult leading). Before age 9, the path can be followed in class or as a family, but not alone.
Does my child need an account or to use an AI alone?
Does my child need an account or to use an AI alone?
No. Your child has no account: it is your parent or teacher account. On the site, they answer with buttons and cards. Practice on a real AI tool starts in module 4 and is always done with you, on your account, or with the printed sheets.
What information about my child do you collect?
What information about my child do you collect?
None, apart from the first name and the initial of the surname that you choose to print on the diploma. We ask for no photo, no voice, no school, no date of birth, and nothing is uploaded, not even for the projects.

They can try again whenever they want, as many times as they wish. There is no timer and no ranking, and the site shows them which lessons to review with an encouraging message.
Does the diploma have official value?
Does the diploma have official value?
No. It is a diploma of participation and achievement, with no official academic value, and with no mark or percentage. It recognises what your child has learned and achieved at each level; “Expert Level” refers to the third level of the Junior Path, not a professional qualification.
Can my child start directly at the Advanced or Expert level?
Can my child start directly at the Advanced or Expert level?
No. At MOKILIX, we start at the beginning: every child follows the path in order, Novice, then Advanced, then Expert, without skipping a step. Each level opens once the previous one is complete (all quizzes done and Big Challenge passed), and each module after the one before. You can buy all 3 levels at once: they will open one after the other.
